Make a Difference in a Volunteer Team

“Join a volunteer team? I could never do that.” Actually… you can.

You don’t have to be a superhero to change a child’s life – just someone willing to show up in one of our volunteer teams… with love. Our teams aren’t “Come and See.” They’re “Come, See & Do.” And what we do matters.

We serve in child development centres, meet with women’s tailoring schools, house churches, a children’s home and our tent school project.

We there to bring love, joy and human connection to children who often don’t get enough individual attention. In many places, there simply aren’t enough caregivers — which means your presence makes a real difference. Every smile, every hug, every game says: You are loved. You are seen. You matter.

You don’t need medical training or professional childcare qualifications to join a team. What you do need is a heart for children. (And yes – if you do have special skills, we love helping you use them!)

No two days on a volunteer team are the same. Activities depend on the children’s ages and needs, but often include games, crafts, singing, puppets, creative play and team-designed programs. Working with babies? That might look like cuddling, feeding, playing and helping with daily care. Simple things — but deeply meaningful.

Our teams work together, bringing their gifts, creativity and personalities to serve the children in ways that fit each group. And the impact? Huge. Past teams have blessed children in lasting ways — and gone home changed themselves.

We usually run international teams around April, and October/November.

Heart For Kids is a Christian organisation, and our teams share daily times of prayer and worship together. We seek to serve with wisdom and respect, always being mindful of the local context and guidelines in the countries where we work.

You don’t have to do everything…you just have to come. ❤️

Lets Talk

We’d love to keep in touch with occasional news

Safe water bores are currently being installed in 1 village per month.

That keeps between 1300 and 2000 children and family members safe.

We would love to do more.
