At Heart for Kids, we walk alongside children and families in China, India and Indonesia with whole-child care – spiritual, emotional and physical – because every part of a child’s life matters. We don’t just meet needs; we nurture hope, faith and resilience so children can truly deeply thrive.
Your support makes this possible. Every gift – whether small or large – helps provide clean water, education, community care and loving spiritual encouragement through trusted local partners. Because we stay closely connected with our in-country co-workers, we see the real needs, respond quickly and make sure your generosity has a meaningful impact.

Indonesia
Children’s Home Sumatra
Food is always in short supply.
The home will soon need the exterior walls to be rendered and painted.
School fees and uniforms are in need.
The children would really benefit from a library of books.
Kids Club spaces
Kids clubs are run in urban slum areas and provide the children with added education in English and other activities. The children love them and often we must run two classes because we run out of space.
Each space can cost around $125 Australian per month
India
Tent School
The school literally operates out of a tent because the whole village is made up of tents. No one has houses as we know them.
The floor is a rug on the sandy soil. The teachers have few resources. We need to provide more teacher helpers because there are now 35 children regularly attending.
Each child receives a daily meal. We expected 25 children but now at least 35 are attending. This is wonderful, but we need funding.
Child Development Centres
These centres provide critical services including education for children living in extreme poverty. Children can be sponsored but the number of children in need is always greater than the number of sponsors. So donations for this vital area are always needed.
Gifts help us pay teachers, rent space, give the children school equipment
Women’ tailoring school
We operate two schools per year which each empower twenty women to support their children. Often these women’s husbands are living with addictions and therefore do not support their family. Each school is an investment of about $7000 Australian but the long-term impact of this is. incredible
